What We Believe

We believe in living out our Christian faith as effectively as possible, having an impact on those who have not yet heard or experienced the great news about Jesus Christ.

  1. We believe in the Trinity – the unity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Gen 1: 26; Matthew 1: 16, 17; Matthew 28: 19-20; II Cor 13: 14; I Peter 1: 2; 1 John 5:7). The scriptures testify of the deity, humanity, and virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1: 1, 14; Philippians 2: 6; Matthew 1: 23-25).
  2. We believe we should share the good news(gospel) of Jesus, equip people in their faith journey, and see them live out their faith in the world.
  3. We believe in the creation of the entire universe by God (Genesis 1; Psalms 33: 6; Ephesians 3: 9; John 1: 3; Colossians 1: 16, 17) and in His creation of man and woman in His image(Genesis 1: 26, 27).
  4. We believe in God’s initiation of communication with man, in part through His created universe, but primarily through the divinely inspired, entirely trustworthy, infallible, and authoritative Word, the Holy Bible, which is our supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
  5. The Lord Jesus Christ made atonement for our sins on the cross by shedding His precious blood, dying in our place, and resurrecting from the dead (Hebrews 9: 12; Isaiah 53: 4-7, 10; Matthew 20: 28; 1 Peter 2: 24; Romans 4: 25). Salvation (redemption from sins) is accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 14: 6; Acts 4: 12). It is by grace alone through faith alone in the finished work of redemption of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross (Ephesians 1: 7, 2: 8, 9; Colossians 1: 14, Hebrews 9: 12).
  6. We believe that salvation is in Jesus Christ and that there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved (Acts 4: 11-12).
  7. We believe in the true deity and true humanity of Jesus Christ, and the necessity and efficacy of His shed blood and sacrificial death for the redemption of man from the guilt, penalty, and the power of sin.
  8. We believe in the work of the Holy Spirit in the regeneration of those who respond to God’s offer of redemption, and His continuing work as He dwells in the Christian and enables him to minister and live a godly life.
  9. We believe every believer having born again experience needs to make an outward profession of their faith and testify in the waters of Baptism. We believe in Baptism by immersion for those who repent and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior by faith. (Acts 8: 35-38)
  10. We believe in the historical fact of the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the expectation of His return (1 Thessalonians 4:1-17, Titus 2:13).
  11. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers of all peoples and nations in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  12. A Church is not a building, but a group of people redeemed by the blood of Christ—who is the Head of the church (Colossians 1: 18; Eph 5: 23; 1 Corinthians 12: 12-14).
  13. We believe in the weekly observance of the Lord’s table based on Acts 2:42, Acts 20:7 and I Corinthians 11:23-26. “On the first day of the week, we came together to break bread.” (Acts 20:7)
